Harvard University award-winning a cappella Veritones: A Spectrum of Voices Benefit Concert

A Celebration of Diversity and Inclusivity featuring Veritones, Special Melodies Choir and Bay Area performing groups

THE HARVARD-RADCLIFFE VERITONES are Harvard University’s award-winning, contemporary, all-gender a cappella group. They recently took 1st place at International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella Quarterfinals in February, sweeping awards for Outstanding Arrangement and Outstanding Vocal Percussion. Founded in 1985 by passionate Harvard students including Lee L. Eichen '89, Inger C. Dewey '89, and Academy Award Winner Mira Sorvino, The Veritones perform a large variety of music, from Billboard Hot 100 hits of today to classics of the past. Every song they sing is arranged and choreographed by members. The group has received consistent recognition from Voices Only and Varsity Vocals, and their music has been featured on the Best of Collegiate A Cappella and Best of Collegiate Humor A Cappella annual compilation albums.

 

SPECIAL MELODIES is a choir under the Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN), a NPO serving people with special needs in the Bay Area. Founded in 2015, the choir now has around 50 special needs students and high school volunteer teachers. In addition to weekly classes, Special Melodies holds annual recitals and participates in public performances.
